The Sparkle Box by Jill Hardie Book Review and Giveaway!!

The Sparkle Box is a beautiful story of how to share God's love with others and be a light to the world.  Sam is a young boy who is excited about Christmas.  He is curious about the silver box next to the Christmas tree that his mom said they needed to fill and could open on Christmas.  During the holiday season, Sam and his family gave food and blankets to the homeless and sponsored a well for a village in Africa.  Sam even gave up some mittens and candy bar to a man who needed them more than he did.  On Christmas when they opened the Sparkle Box, Sam realized that what they were doing was giving the light of Jesus to the world.

I love the idea of having a Sparkle Box to fill and open every Christmas!  Christmas is about giving and sharing God's love with others.  I pray that you and I can find it in our hearts to be generous during this upcoming Christmas holiday and fill a Sparkle Box under our Christmas tree.

I would like to put into a sparkle box notes of the things we do that our children don't even realize is giving back and showing the love of Jesus. They think ringing bells for the Salvation Army is just 'a part' of Christmas. I'd like to give them a deeper understanding that the things we do for others are important and they do matter.
